Hawaiian beach nuptials unite Bero and Musser

Living in Canfield after a honeymoon in Hawaii are Dr. Douglas Howard Musser and his bride, Mandi Christine Bero. They were married during a sunset ceremony on the beach April 24 at the Grand Hyatt Resort in Kauai, Hawaii. A traditional Polynesian luau served as the couple’s private reception following the wedding. A local post-nuptial reception was held May 30 at Antone's Banquet Center in Boardman.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Bero of Poland, and the groom is the son of Judy and William Musser and Edward and JoAnn Kunzelman, all of Chillicothe.

The bride wore a white satin strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, and a corset bodice with lace-up back, embellished with rhinestones, sea pearls, barrel beads and Aurora Borealis crystals. Her satin skirt was adorned with bloused draping and a bustle back that flowed into a semi-cathedral train. She carried a clutch bouquet of hot pink mixed tropical flowers.

Heather Scott of Durango, Colo. served as matron of honor for her best friend. the bridesmaids included Jennifer Bero of Pasadena, Calif., sister-in-law of the bride, Tiffany Perry and Nikki Pagano of Canfield, Diana Kelly of Youngstown, Tiffany Shirilla and Christa Shirilla of Boardman and Gabrielle Ciotti of Uniontown, friends of the bride. They wore jersey knit, off-on-shoulder dresses of mermaid blue, and carried clutch bouquets of fuschia and orange tropical flowers.

The flower girls were Abbey Musser, daughter of the groom, Nadia Galazia, goddaughter of the bride, plus Abbey Perry, Stella Pagano and Geneva Scott.

Dr. Paul Pagano of Canfield served as best man for his friend and business partner. The groomsmen included Darron Musser of Chillicothe, twin brother of the groom; David Musser of Chillicothe and Drew Musser of Eagle, Colo., brothers of the groom; Aaron Bero of Pasadena, Calif. and Josh Bero of Poland, brothers of the bride; and James Perry of Canfield, Joe Ciotti of Kent and Jacob Musser of Seattle, friends of the groom.

The ring bearers were Alex and Robbie, sons of the groom, plus Eric Shirilla and Enzo Pagano.

The new Mrs. Musser is a registered nurse in the  neuro-spine unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  Dr. Musser is an orthopedic spine surgeon with Youngstown Orthopedic Associates.
