50th anniversary of Pacellas celebrated Oct. 17

Mr. and Mrs. Patsy Pacella of Canfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner party hosted by their son, Robert Pacella. The event was held at the Fireplace Lounge on Oct. 17. They also celebrated their anniversary during a previous Caribbean cruise.

Their family also includes their grandchildren, Olivia Lucia and Gioia Maria Pacella.

Mr. Pacella and the former Anna Marie Battaglini were united in marriage on Oct. 15, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown by the Rev. Monsignor Walter B. Martin. They are members of St. Michael's Church in Canfield.

Mrs. Pacella retired in 1989 from Kirkmere Elementary School in the Youngstown City Schools. She is presently a part-time substitute teacher in the same school system. Mrs. Pacella also was employed at the North Side Hospital in the medical records office from 1955 to 1962 while attending high school and college. She is a lifetime member of the Mahoning Retired Teachers Association.

Mr. Pacella retired from L.T.V. Steel in Youngstown in 1986. He was a stationary engineer. He was employed after his retirement at the Mill Creek Golf Course in the Pro Shop for 10 years. He served in the armed forces, the U.S. Army, during the Berlin Crisis for 2 1/2 years. He is a member of the

Pacentrano Men's Club and is an avid golfer.
