O'Hara celebrates summer wedding

St. Brendan's Church in Youngstown was the setting on Aug. 4, 2012 for the summer wedding of Joseph L. Seifert and his bride, Shannon M. O'Hara.

The Rev. William Loveless and the Rev. David Gilbert officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony that united the daughter of Joseph and Irene O'Hara of Youngstown, and the son of Lawrence and Vivian Seifert of Liberty.

An evening reception was held in their honor at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard. The couple then took a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Marten.

The bride wore a strapless satin bodice with beaded embroidery, organza ball gown skirt, and chapel train. Her tiara embellished with crystals was worn with a veil and carried a bouquet of white and malibu blue roses with seashells.

Heather Lowers, the groom's sister, of Girard, attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Bennett of Niles, Kelly Bartolec of Autintown, and Amanda Nagy of Youngstown. The flower girl was Taylor Rudolphi of Liberty.

Serving as best man for the groom was Jim Lowers, brother-in-law of the groom. Groomsmen included Adam Detwiler, Steve Harvey, and Jameson Mogul, all of Liberty. A junior groomsman was Brian Oslavic of Girard, the groom's cousin. The bride's cousin Franki Bartolec of Boardman, was ring bearer.

The new Mrs. Seifert is a 2004 graduate of Chaney High School, received a bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from Youngstown State University in 2010. She is currently employed at Falcon Transport.

Mr. Seifert is a 2004 graduate of Liberty High School, and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2009 from Youngstown State University. He is employed as security officer at Cleveland Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland.

They newlyweds have made their home in McDonald.
