Sept. 6, 1:54 p.m. -- Following a call to Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave., regarding a shoplifter, Lisa L. Ruz, 45, 5785 Callaway Circle, Austintown, was charged with theft.

7:04 p.m. -- Following a traffic stop on Mahoning Avenue, William S. Matsouris Jr., 42, 122 N. Roanoke Ave., Austintown, was taken into custody on a Mahoning County Court 2 warrant for theft.

Sept. 8, 12:45 a.m. -- Following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle at Pilot Gas Station, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Brittney M. Hall, 21, 774 Salt Springs Road, Warren, was charged with drug abuse (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:02 p.m. -- Following a call to Rainbow Shops, 6000 Mahoning Ave., regarding a shoplifter, Amanda C. Seman, 26, 1946 Bancroft Ave., Poland, was charged with theft.

1:13 p.m. -- Following a call to Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave., regarding a shoplifter, Misty D. Arehart, 22, 258 Gather Ave., Youngstown, was charged with theft, possession of criminal tools, and child endangering.

Sept. 9, 3:05 p.m. -- Following a call to Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave., regarding a shoplifter, Christina L. Brayman, 41, homeless, was charged with theft.

9:22 p.m. -- Following a dispatch to Super 8 motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive regarding a wanted person, Charles H. Strobeck, 54, 16 Wantage Ave., Branchville, N.J., taken into custody on a Frankford Joint Municipal Court (New Jersey) warrant for aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact on a child less than 13 years old, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Sept. 10, 12:34 p.m. -- Following a call to Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave., regarding a shoplifter, Keith E. Allen, 58, 122 W. Chalmers Ave., Youngstown, was charged with theft and possessing criminal tools.

Sept. 11, 1:29 p.m. -- Custody was taken from Struthers Police of Jonathan G. Dill, 19, homeless, who was under a Mahoning County Court 4 warrant for failure to appear on criminal trespassing charges

During the period, the department also handled:

11 reports of theft.

7 domestic calls with no arrests.

1 report of criminal damaging.

2 reports of identity theft.
