Aug. 30, 12:59 p.m. -- No citations were issued after Derek J. Kosec, 27, 51 Ida Drive, Poland, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Patricia Cathcart, 59, 36550 Chester Road, Avon, who was slowing on North Lima Road.

Sept. 4, 1:39 a.m. -- Following a traffic stop on Struthers Road, Adam J. Shafer, 19, 105 East Main Street, East Palestine, was taken into custody on a Columbiana County warrant for failure to appear.
10 a.m. -- No citations were issued after Ashley N. Sudzjak, 20, 750 Smalls Ferry Road, Enon Valley, Pa., struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Jennifer L. Grimes, 38, 115 Shannon Ave., New Castle, Pa., who was stopped in traffic on East Western Reserve Road.
6:15 p.m. -- Arthur J. Varie, 69, 3151 Olde Winter Trail, Poland, turned in a report after he attempted to turn onto state Route 170 and struck a female on a bicycle who had run the red light, then fled the scene.
Sept. 5, 5 p.m. -- A domestic violence report was filed at 3374 Swallow Hollow.
Sept. 6, 12:40 a.m. -- Mutual aid was provided to Lowellville Police on a traffic arrest at 137 Sixth St. in Lowellville.
9:40 p.m. -- An assault report was filed at 8645 Fairweather Trail.
Sept. 7, 3:30 p.m. -- Following a call to 8490 Morningside Drive regarding an assault, Thomas F. Tofilski, 28, of that address, was charged with aggravated robbery (remove or attempt to remove from known law enforcement officer within the course and scope of officer's duties), assault, criminal damaging, domestic violence, and resisting arrest.
7 p.m. -- A theft from auto report was taken at a Stewart Road location.
Sept. 8, 2 p.m. -- An investigation is pending into a report of forgery at 2537 Stoner Ave.
