A former Canfield Cardinal suited up as an Atlanta Falcon last weekend. Sean Baker, a recent graduate of Canfield High School's Class of 2007 and Ball State's Class of 2011 was activated for the Oct. 5 game against the New York Giants in East Rutherford, N.J. Baker, who is a safety and wears number 29, was elevated to the roster last week. He had been on the practice squad.


Oct. 1: The Canfield lady Cardinals defeat Austintown Falcons, 2-1. Canfield's record is now 11-3-0. The Canfield offense had 18 shots on goal. The two goals were scored by Bailey Fischer with an assist by Anita Mancini. Raquel Abel was in goal and had 4 saves. Canfield junior varsity lost to Austintown, 0-2.
