Boardman Recognizes AAC award winners

Student athletes from last winter, spring and fall who received All-American Conference honors were recognized for their accomplishments during half time of the Jan. 31 Boardman versus Canfield boys basketball game. Picture are the basketball first team, John Ryan, Krista Johnson and Lauren Gabriele; second team, Jenna Vivo; wrestling first team, Mario Graziani; boys bowling first team, Brain Stanchin and Sean Sullivan; girls bowling first team, Alexis Grim; boys swimming first team, Aaron Dunlany, Callen Aulizia, Kyle Kimerer, Ethan Schewdeman and Dominic Mariano; girls swimming first team, Sidney Hull, Jennah Markovitch, Lindsay O’Nesti, Kelsey Calpin and Corie Kuras; tennis first team, Kris Santilli and Justin Olsen; swimming second team, Stephen Stanko; baseball first team, Hudson Widrig; baseball second team, Lou Cardona, Luke Cardillo and Coleman Stauffer; softball first team, Lauren Gabriele and Savanna Dempsey; softball second team, Miyah Mitchum; boys track first team, Brendon Lucas, state runner-up in the 400 meter; girls track first team, Casey Zaitzew, Makayla D’Eramo, Ari Cuevas, Kaylin Burkey and Jessica Mowery; boys golf first team, winner of the AAC for third consecutive year, qualified for state for the second consecutive year and placed sixth at the state tournament, Cole Christman, Bobby Jonda, Cade Kreps, Bryan Kordupel and Brian Terlesky, who was named Player of the Year; girls golf first team, winner of the AAC for the third consecutive year, Jenna Vivo, Britney Jonda and Jacinta Pikunas, who qualified to state for the fourth consecutive year and was named Player of the Year; boys cross country first team, Chris Butler, who qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association cross country tournament; girls cross country first team, Casey Zaitzew; football first team, Koby Adu-Poku, Jordan Acevedo, Alex King and Travis Koontz; honorable mention Gaven Strines and Mike Melewski; volleyball first team, Kaylin Burkey; volleyball second team, Ashley Clark; boys soccer first team, Robb Lewis; boys soccer second team, Trevor Boggess and Sean Buck; girls soccer first team, Anna Deeley; girls soccer second team, Skylar Bryant and Cassie Stitt; and girls tennis first team, Nadine Gabriel.
