WARREN - Memorial service, 2 p.m. at Pineview Memorial Park chapel, 4049 Youngstown Road, Warren. U.S. Air Force Major Brad Forridor of the 910th is guest speaker. Balloon release for veterans lost this past year.


McDONALD - War memorial, 1 p.m. at Woodland Park

WARREN - Warren W.D. Packard Band outdoor Memorial Day concert, 3 p.m. at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW


BOARDMAN - The 113th Memorial Day Parade hosted by Boardman Kiwanis Club, 10 a.m., at Boardman Center Middle School, proceeds north on Market Street to U.S. Route 224, then east to Boardman Park. There will be a program honoring veterans immediately following the parade at the Maag Outdoor Arts Theatre at Boardman Park. The grand marshal for the parade will be Boardman police patrolman and school resource officer Paul Poulos, a U.S. Army veteran. Poulos also will be the featured speaker at several ceremonies in Boardman Park. A one-mile run will precede the parade at 9:30 a.m., beginning at the intersection of routes 224 and 7. Registration will be at the Walgreens on Market Street.

BROOKFIELD - Parade, 10 a.m. traveling from the former Brookfield Middle School site off Grove Street to Brookfield Township Cemetery off Route 7 for a memorial service.

CANFIELD - Service, 10 a.m. at the Gazebo on the Canfield Village Green, hosted by the American Legion Post 177. The featured speaker will be Richard Duffett, Canfield High School Class of 1977 and U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1981. Following, there will be a procession to the Canfield East Cemetery, where a second brief ceremony will honor deceased Canfield veterans. Participants will then return to the Canfield War Vets Museum, where a final ceremony will be held. Those attending are encouraged to bring a single, nonperishable food item that will be donated to area veterans in need by the Zion Lutheran Church Veterans Food Bank.

CHAMPION - Parade, 9 a.m. traveling from St. William Church, north to township cemetery across from Central Elementary School for a memorial service hosted by Champion Rotary Club.

COLUMBIANA - Parade, 10 a.m., hosted by the American Legion Post 290. Parade marches from Main Street to West Park Avenue to Firestone Cemetery.

EAST PALESTINE - Parade, 11 a.m., sponsored by the George F. McBane Post 31 of the American Legion.

FOWLER - Service, 10 a.m. on the center green, Routes 193 and 305, followed by parade at 11 a.m.

GIRARD - Service, 11 a.m. at Girard Union Cemetery, 1143 N. State St., hosted by American Legion Post 235. Biographies of deceased veterans will be read by Girard High School class presidents.

HOWLAND - Service, 10 a.m. at township cemetery off Route 46 hosted by American Legion Post 700 followed by an open house at the post, 8273 High St.

HUBBARD - Parade, 10 a.m. traveling from Princeton Street to Hubbard Union Cemetery and then to war memorial at city building off West Liberty Street for service.

JOHNSTON - Service, 10 a.m. at cemetery followed by luncheon at VFW Hall.

NILES - Service, 11 a.m. at Niles City Cemetery. Hosted by the American Legion Post 106.

POLAND - Parade, 10 a.m., starting on Cortland Street to South Main Street. The parade will stop on the bridge for a ceremony honoring those lost at sea and then continue to Riverside Cemetery for a brief ceremony.

SOUTHINGTON - Flag raising, 10:45 a.m. at Chalker Building, followed by parade, 11 a.m. sponsored by American Legion Post 751, traveling from the Chalker building, state Route 305, to Pinecrest Cemetery for memorial service. The parade will return to the Chalker Building upon completion of the ceremonies.

WARREN - Trumbull County Memorial Day Federation observances with casting of wreaths upon the waters on the Mahoning River near the Warren Community Amphitheater, 9:30 a.m. Service, 10 a.m. at the amphitheater with featured speaker, Gabriella Jones, Warren G. Harding High School Voice of Democracy winner. Parade will follow traveling from Perkins Park to Oakwood Cemetery on Niles Road for ceremony. In case of inclement weather, services will be held inside the First Presbyterian Church.

WARREN - A formal dedication ceremony for the newly installed Middle East Conflicts Memorial, 12:30 p.m. at the Trumbull County Veterans Memorial Park, corner of West Market Street and Mahoning Avenue, Warren. The ceremony coordinated by Eagle Scout Candidate Liam McGee and will include participation from a variety of Trumbull County Veterans organizations and Boy Scout troops. The memorial honors the sacrifices of service members that served in the recent conflicts in the Middle East.

WEATHERSFIELD - Service, 2 p.m. at Kerr Cemetery hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4192.

YOUNGSTOWN - Donald Lockett VFW Post 6488 and Ladies Auxiliary will hold its annual Memorial Day observance 1 p.m. at 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, Youngstown. There will be a special tribute to the widows of their departed comrades, with Minister Allen Irizarry-Graves as the keynote speaker. The event is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be served.
