Boardman art students earn Gold and Silver Keys in Scholastic Art Competition

Boardman High School visual art students recently participated in the 2018 Northeastern Ohio Scholastic Art Competition. Seven Spartans received the highest of recognition: Gold and Silver Keys. More than 20 Boardman students also received honorable mentions for their submissions.

The 2018 Northeastern Ohio Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition showcases artwork from students in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, and Ashtabula Counties in grades 7-12. According to YSU's Website, the 737 regional entries reflect each participating school's outstanding student work. Boardman's Visual Art programs were well represented.

The Art Exhibition runs through Jan. 24 in Bliss Hall's second floor Judith Rae Solomon Gallery weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students will be celebrated in an awards ceremony at Ford Theater at YSU on Jan. 13 at noon.
