New school board member recognized at Poland BOE meeting

Gregg Riddle, the newest member of the Poland Board of Education, took the oath of office at the Jan. 8 Poland Board of Education Organizational meeting. Judge Mary DeGenaro administered the oath of office. Riddle has lived in Poland for 20 years, is an insurance agent, and said all three of his children graduated from Poland Local Schools.

Dr. Larry Dinopoulos also took the oath of office for his third term as a member of the Poland Board of Education. At Monday night's organizational meeting, Elinor Zedaker was also voted in as the President of the Poland Board of Education. Zedaker has been serving on the board of education since 1991. James Lavorini was voted in as Vice Chair of the Poland Board of Education.

Board of education members were also presented with certificates of appreciation by Poland Local Schools Superintendent David Janofa as part of School Board Recognition Month.
