The AMS Drama Club presents Robin Hood

March 1, 2018
J.T. Whitehouse , The Town Crier

The AMS Drama club will take guests to Sherwood Forest as they tell the tale of Robin Hood on March 2 and 3. The performance will take place in the AMS cafetorium beginning at 6:30 p.m. on each day. The cost of admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students.

The play will have a large cast of 50 on the stage. It will feature all the Robin Hood characters as well as a small army of dance extras and a surprise performance in the role of King Richard. While there is a huge stage presence, behind the scenes has been minimal for this production.

"We have seventh grader Kylee Moss and Fitch senior Tom Capelli handling our sets," said drama club advisor Ron Johnson. "Tom went through the AMS drama club and has returned to assist us as he is looking at that career field."

The cast and crew worked hard all week are ready for this weekend's performance that will include the flashy wardrobe and ferocious sword fights. Peace is kept somewhat thanks to the appearance of Friar Tuck.
