On April 12, Poland senior Bella Gajdos signed her national letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Ursuline College this fall. She had an impressive career with the Lady Bulldogs that included a special mention All Inland Eastern Ohio, Division II All Star District II, and the 2018 Conference Player of the Year.

"She set the bar high," said head coach Nick Blanch. "She is what a dedicated athlete is all about."

Gajdos said she started playing at age four when her parents let her play in the YMCA League. From that moment on, she knew it was the game she wanted to excel at, which she did at Poland.

Bella Gajdos was joined by her parents Dennis and Melissa Gajdos as she signed her letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Ursuline College this fall.

When it came to selecting a college, Gajdos said Ursuline was a really good fit.

"I really like the school," she said. "It seems like the team and the coaches are a perfect fit, and it is a small school where I can focus better."

While she is certain of the basketball team, she did say her major is undecided at this point.

She still has a few months left at Poland and has decided to join the softball team. She said she wanted to be with her friends on a team one last time before graduating.

"I will miss my teammates, coaches and definitely the people and the community," she said. "Everyone cares so much about you here."
