Poland Village Gardeners bring in the muscle

June 13, 2018

On June 6, the Poland Village Gardeners had a helping hand in preparing the Centennial Gardens at Village Hall for the summer. Early in the morning 20 members of the Poland football team showed up and in just under two hours, moved 1 cubic yard of mulch under the guidance of Laua Rubmle and Amy Davis, both former first grade teachers in Poland.

"We had a lot of these kids in school," Davies said. "They showed up to help in the spirit of community service."

After the work was completed, the football players got to sit down and enjoy a pizza lunch.
