Till Open ends seventh successful event

The seventh annual Fourth of July Canfield Alumni Till Open is over for 2018 and is once again a success. It was held on July 4 at Mill Creek MetroParks north and south courses.

"The outing was a huge success," said Till Open Inc. Board President Richard Duffett. "Both the North and South Courses were sold out. In the charitable golf outing world, it is unusual to 'sell out' two golf courses and play both courses simultaneously. However, due to high demand, the Till Open successfully did just that."

Duffett said in the first six years of the Till Open, the non-profit charity has donated over $185,000 to the Canfield Local School District's extra-curricular activities, the Canfield Little Cardinals football organization, the Canfield PTA, and Canfield American Legion Post 177. This year, Duffett said the amount brought in from the Till Open will easily meet the big goal the board set.
