Hilltop student helps others

August 15, 2018

Hilltop Elementary student Kane Kasik, 9, made his summer break count when it came to helping others. He operated a lemonade stand and used the proceeds to help other students get ready for school.

Kasik operated a lemonade stand that included lemonade for 50 cents, mini cookies for 50 cents, and magic tricks for donations. His magic included mind reading, the transferring card, and card finder.

Kasik made up a poster for his prices and another for what the whole venture was about. The poster read, "All proceeds will be donated to Hilltop Elementary School in the form of school supplies for students in need. Pay It Forward."
