The Canfield Junior Women's League 49th Annual Fall Market has been set for Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Village Green in Canfield. The event is huge and brings in a lot of money that goes back into the community.

"Last year we gave out $15,000 to local charities," said CJWL President Tina Marie Czarnecki-Gasior. She said the funds last year went to mini grants in all four Canfield school buildings, to Guardian Angels Service Dogs, direct relief for hurricane recovery, Canfield Care Net, Humane Society, and was used to purchase a microchip scanner for the Canfield Police Department.

Peggy Rowe, Fall Market 2018 Chair, said she is expecting 200 vendors this year covering a variety of items including decorations, produce, seasonal decor, artwork, and something for everyone. She said the need will be for shoppers.

The Canfield Junior Women's League Fall Market is drawing near and members recently gathered at the Village Green to promote it. Pictured are, in front, Nancy Zatchok, Tina Marie Czarnecki-Gasior, sponsor representative Donna Boak from Boak and Sons, Peggy Rowe and Sherree Zamary. In back is Canfield Mayor Richard Duffett.

Rowe said the members have been working hard to prepare for this year's event, even though they are missing a key person. Longtime JWL member Nancy Dove passed away in February of this year. She was very involved when it came to putting the event together.

"We are sure missing Nancy Dove these days," Rowe said. "She was such a big part of Fall Market."

Rowe said the focus right now is on this year's event. Once it is over, the CJWL can turn its focus to next year and the 50th Fall Market.
