AIS student collects costumes for students in need

November 7, 2018
The Town Crier

Halloween is a time to dress up and collect delicious treats but for some students, buying a costume can be difficult. One student made sure that wasn't an issue for his classmates in Austintown. Third grade student Cody O'Connell collected costumes for AES and AIS students who may not have had one.

Cody's love of giving back doesn't stop there. He has made an impact in the community in many ways, including his neighborhood library "Cody's Little Library." Cody and his father built a little library box that is mounted on a tree in their front yard. Now people of all ages can come take a book or leave a book whenever they please.

Cody was recently recognized at the first annual 10 Under 15 awards, where he won a visionary award for his volunteer work.
