Children completing their Christmas shopping

December 12, 2018
The Town Crier

Holy Family students in Grades Kindergarten through 8th grade enjoyed their annual Santa Shop on December 4th and 5th, hosted by Holy Family Home and School. Students were able to shop for their parents, grandparents, siblings, pets, and friends! The Santa Shop relies on the support and volunteers of parents and grandparents. Under the leadership of Jamie Berlon and Rosalie Crawford, this annual event is fun, affordable, and festive! Parents shop throughout the year and have a large selection of items for the children to choose from. Jamie Berlon has three children at Holy Family and has helped organized the Santa Shop for several years. Jamie states, "After doing Santa Shop for five years, the most rewarding part is watching the joy in the child's smiles as they shop for their loved ones."

After shopping for the people or pets on their lists, students have their presents wrapped by parent elves so they are ready to go for Christmas Day!

Kindergarten mom, Maura Evans, enjoyed volunteering at her first Santa Shop. "I had a lot of fun working at the Santa Shop. The students were very excited to pick out gifts for the people on their lists and there was so much to choose from! Home and School at Holy Family does such a nice job on everything they do for the children."
