Jazz & Dessert Festival set for Jan. 26

The Austintown Band Parents Club, Inc. announced their fourth annual Jazz & Dessert event to be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Austintown Middle School, 800 South Raccoon Road in Austintown.

Established in 2016 as a benefit for the Austintown Band Programs, Jazz & Dessert is a festival that features four jazz bands and a competition among dozens of professional and amateur bakers and dessert makers from all over the Valley.

The event is open to the public with an admission of $6 per person. Admission includes 10 dessert samples. There will also be a Chinese bakery auction and a Chinese auction for an electric guitar and amplifier donated by Dan and Rick Barber of the Music Gallery.

Amateur and professional bakers and dessert makers are invited to participate as contestants in this year's event, no connection to the band is required.
