February 27, 2019
The Town Crier
Juniors Kiki Kollar and Taylor Connolly (pictured) attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Award conference at the Avalon Inn over the weekend, Feb. 22-24. District 6650 Rotary Clubs are allowed to sponsor two juniors per club, with all costs borne by the group. The conference featured seminars in career planning, self awareness, leadership, relationships, and team building. Kiki Kollar (left) is her class president, with the Interact Club, Key Club, Spanish Club and Academic Team keeping her busy. She is the daughter of John and Maureen Kollar, and is looking at a career in the health field. Taylor Connolly is active in the Spirit Club and Interact Club, and also works at the Dairy Queen. She is the daughter of Jason and Amy Connolly and is interested in criminology after graduation. Interact advisor Tina Kubacki selected the girls based on their interest and activity level over the past three years. They joined almost 100 juniors from the area at this conference.
