Austintown Rotary selects entry for four-way speech contest

March 27, 2019
The Town Crier
Alex Giovannone is the winner of the Austintown Rotary Four-Way Speech Contest, with Kyle Anderson as runner up. Alex will compete in Akron on April 6 in  the District 6650 finals against possibly 47 others. He based his speech upon the famous Four-Way Test created by Herbert Taylor in 1932 that has become the standards of Rotary International, stressing truth, fairness, benefits for all, and building goodwill. Speech coach Andrea Reed, a 12-year veteran, encouraged the entrants, who are both seniors at Fitch. Pam Raidel, Rotary Vocational Chair, was in charge of the event.
