Austintown Intermediate hosts first art show

May 29, 2019
The Town Crier

The first-ever Austintown Intermediate School Art Show was held on Monday, May 6. All students from Miss Houston's and Mrs. Sheridan's Art classes at AIS created art for the show. Ribbons were given in each grade for first, second, third, and honorable mention. Every child's work was framed by the Artome company. Parents had the choice to purchase a frame for their child's work to take home. A percent of the sales goes to help buy more art supplies for next year's art classes.

Each homeroom made different projects. Examples include abstract designs, watercolor landscapes, tempera paint landscapes, tempera paint seascapes, watercolor sea turtles, cut paper collages, and much more. Students began work on their projects in January of this school year and spent many weeks working on their projects.
