The Boardman High School Drama Guild will present "Elf the Musical" Nov. 21-23 at the Boardman Performing Arts Center. Tickets went on sale Oct. 18 online and can be purchased at www.boardmanperformingartscenter.com, or by calling 330-259-7150.

"Elf the Musical" is a smart and energetic version of the well-known holiday movie with Will Ferrell. The story follows Buddy the Elf, a human, adopted and raised by Santa and the elves in the North Pole as Buddy ventures to New York City to find his Dad, the ultimate scrooge, Walter Hobbs. The musical version of this modern-day classic includes big band Christmas tunes and cheerful choreography that will kindle your heart with a newfound love for the holiday season.

"We could not have been more blessed to have the perfect cast and crew for this show this year," said director Rachel Ruggieri. There are more than 60 students on stage and behind the scenes, along with dozens of BHS musicians in the orchestra pit.
