Ark brings the gift of warmth

December 4, 2019
The Town Crier

Holy Family ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) members met together one day after school to make no-sew tie blankets to donate to both the homeless and animal shelters. ARK is comprised by Holy Family girls in grades five through eight. Acts of Random Kindness started 10 years ago at Holy Family School. The group focuses on serving others and showing kindness. The group meets monthly and has different goal in helping others. Dini Ricchiuti is one of the mothers who helps coordinate the current ARK group.

"The Holy Family School Ark Club made the blankets to support local charities in our community," Ricchiuti said. "We made the blankets for animal shelters and for homeless shelters. The ARK club is designed to bring students together to enrich their lives by showing them the importance of giving to those in need. And these blankets were the perfect choice as our first project this year as start to enter the cold winter months."
