Caring Club members at McKinley Elementary are making sure the youngest learners in Poland have toys and school supplies.

Caring Club had its first toy drive, donating educational toys and school supplies that will go to four preschools in Poland.

"It's all about giving toys to kids who may not have toys for Christmas. I want kids to have at least one toy for Christmas," said Maddox Purins, Caring Club Member.

Students filled several large donation boxes with toys and school supplies. Caring Club Member, Andrew Brine, helped cover the boxes with wrapping paper, and made a donation.

McKinley Elementary students also made another donation to benefit kids in the community, bringing in gloves, scarves, hats, and other cold weather items for Mahoning County Children Services. Third grade student, Ava, Flood, said it's important to help others, that's why she donated hats and gloves. "Everything that you give, it just helps other people who need that stuff," said Flood.
