On Feb. 12 the Canfield High School athletic foyer was full to capacity as six Lacrosse players signed their letters of intent to continue their Lacrosse careers in college next year. Five were from the girls team and one from the boys team.

Girs' Head Coach Melynda Guerrieri said she is proud of her team and the accomplishments they have made in the sport's three short years in Canfield.

"On the girls' team, 50 percent of our seniors are playing in college," she said. "The five that are signing today have combined scholarships of $135,000 per year, and these five have an average GPA of 3.9."
