Shepherd of the Valley seeks help for seniors in response to COVID-19

Shepherd of the Valley is taking COVID-19 very seriously, and is taking all necessary measures to keep residents and staff healthy. They are also concerned with the health and well-being for seniors in the community.

Shepherd of the Valley wants to ensure that seniors have access to food, medications and health care during the COVID-19 outbreak. They are currently seeking volunteers and partners to help meet seniors' needs at this time.

They are working with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and League of Women's Voters to recruit volunteers to for senior outreach. Anyone interested in volunteering should visit www.shepherdofthevalley.com/covid19/. Click the box for volunteers under additional resources.

Individuals or organizations willing to partner with Shepherd of the Valley to provide goods or services to homebound seniors should contact Danielle Procopio at 330-530-4038 ext.2057 or email dprocopio@shepherdofthevalley.com. They are working on a list of organizations and businesses that are providing accommodations for homebound seniors during this time.

Any senior in need of help should call the Help Network of Northeast Ohio at 211. They will be taking calls and helping navigate referrals to the appropriate agencies in order to meet the community's needs.
